Statement of Community Involvement
Required for all major applications.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to:
- Seek pre-application advice from the council and statutory consultees
- Write and regularly review a Consultation Strategy for the proposal, in consultation with the Council, taking into account the Statement of Community Involvement
- Consult local communities in accordance with the Consultation Strategy
- Consider the consultation responses received and submit a document explaining how it has influenced the planning application.
