If we feel that it is necessary to share your personal data with professionals to ensure you or someone you work with is safeguarded from harm, we rely upon the provisions of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 and Children Act 1989 and 2004. Where it is necessary to share medical or social care information for these purposes, we rely upon article 9(2)(h) of the General Data Protection Regulation (information necessary for medical diagnosis, the provision of health or social care or treatment or the management of health or social care systems).
The data you provide may be disclosed to other enforcement agencies for enforcing parking contraventions or to agents of the Councils during the course of debt collection. It may also be disclosed to other departments within the Councils to assist in our delivery of other statutory duties, or external parties for related enforcement purposes or as required by law.
We may also need to share some personal data about you, so that we can support third party organisations to discharge their regulatory requirements. This includes organisations such as;

The Councils will never sell your data to anyone else.
Your data will not be transferred outside of the EU. It will be securely stored electronically within the UK only, unless it was necessary for safeguarding or for the prevention and detection of crime.
The Councils will retain personal data for no longer than 6 years from when the record was created.

The Councils use parking enforcement software to manage our car parks and parking enforcement. This software is provided by Taranto, who act as a data processor on behalf of the Councils. Further information on Taranto can be found on their website.
