Home Upgrade Grant - HUG2
Under the Government HUG2 grant, the Council will be delivering energy efficiency measures to homes in conjunction with community energy groups.
The Council has been awarded funding from by the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) to improve the energy efficiency of 200 homes across South Hams and West Devon by March 2025. HUG2 will be delivered in partnership with local community energy groups, supporting the applicant throughout the whole process.
HUG2 focuses on a whole house approach, ensuring a solution is developed for the whole home. This would start with a fabric first approach - the insulation, and then low-carbon heating, and if possible, any further measures.
