Christmas Tree Festival

11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

  •  A stunning display of Christmas trees put together by community groups, businesses and schools in the town will be on show to help raise money for the Church.

Dickensian Evening, Christmas Light Switch On and Late Night Shopping

Due to adverse weather, the outdoor offering for this event has been cancelled. Some local shops will still be open late.

9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Late-night shopping event that transports you back in time as shop keepers embrace the Dickensian spirit and dress up in traditional attire.

10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • This event has free entry with 70+ local gift and artisan stalls to shop at.
  • Food stalls, gnome trail, live music, rides, festive bouncy castles and more.

Butchers Hall Christmas Markets

Saturday 14 to Monday 23  December 
Daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • A wide variety of traders will be in Butchers Hall throughout the festive period.
  • Open daily with free entry.

Stannary Brass Band Christmas Concert

Saturday 14 December

  • Annual concert of Tavistock's traditional Stannary Brass Band in St. Eustachius Church.

Carols by Candlelight

Sunday 15 December
3:45 p.m.

  • Join Redeemer Church, King's and Abbey Chapel for Carols by Candlelight.
  • Christmas carols, a short Christmas message and refreshments served afterwards.
  • Free entry, doors open 3:45pm.
