Statutory Review of Polling Districts and Places

Proposals for the review of polling stations

Here is a summary of the suggestions/proposed changes to polling stations by the Returning Officer. 

  • Drewsteignton – The Village Hall – Suggestions sought for an alternative venue.
  • Okehampton Hamlets (Little Fatherford) and Okehampton Hamlets (North) - Suggestions for a suitable alternative venue to St James’s C of E Primary School within either parish ward.
  • Okehampton (South) – All Saints Church Hall to become the designated polling venue for voters in South ward of Okehampton Town with The Okement Centre considered a viable alternative.
  • Horrabridge – Suggestions sought for a suitable alternative venue for voters in Sampford Spiney as currently a third polling station is required in the Village Hall for a UK Parliamentary election. 
  • Tavistock (South West) - Suggestions sought for a suitable alternative venue to Fairway Furniture within this ward.
  • Walkhampton (Dousland)- Suggestions sought for a suitable alternative venue or move to the Memorial Hall in Walkhampton.

No changes are proposed for all other areas.
