The Conservation Area extends from Hole's Hole southwards to Clamoak Cottage and Quay, including intervening areas of foreshore and other land adjacent to and on either side of the public road.
The designation includes the Weir Quay boatyard, Cleave farm group, South Tamar Mine and land associated with the former Tamar Smelting Works. It extends north-eastwards as far as and including Gullytown Cottages.
