location

The Conservation Area is centred on the historic core of the village of Stowford.  It encompasses Hayne Barton, Shepherds Farmhouse and the church together with its original graveyard to the west.  It includes the verge and trees on the northern side of the road leading out of the village northwestwards, Stowford Grange and Stowford House Hotel.

It also includes the buildings and land along the eastern side of the access to Stowford Grange Farm, together with those in the south western corner of the complex.  The boundary turns at the footpath westwards along the road, extending southwards to take in Stowford Farmhouse and Part Barton.
