Bondleigh

Designated: 4 December 1995

The Conservation Area is centred on Bondleigh Bridge.  It extends northwards along the eastern boundary of field number 7767, to enclose the River Taw and some 110m of the road to Clapperdown.

The boundary then runs eastward, crossing Cholhouse Lane and enclosing the group of cottages which includes Lane Cottage and the well beyond, before turning west along the southern boundary of field number 0045.

At the western end of this field the boundary runs southward to encompass Mill Farmhouse, Snell Cottage, Southcott and The Rest.  It then turns northwest, across the road to North Tawton, the River Taw and the road to Lake, where it turns northeast to Bondleigh Bridge Cross.
