We've been out and about cleaning up chewing gum

Our staff were joined by FCC Environment, Tavistock Town Council and Cllr Jeff Moody, to try out the new chewing gum cleaning equipment we've purchased, thanks to a grant from the Chewing Gum Task Force.

The council is among 54 that received funds to clean gum off pavements and prevent it from being littered again.

Cllr Jeff Moody, ward member for Tavistock North, was also representing Tidy Tavi. The equipment will be used to clean up problem areas for chewing gum in the borough.
