Community Project Grant
Funding to provide financial support to community groups to help purchase equipment or fund building related costs. These could include funds for sports equipment, repairs to a village hall or tree planting.
The maximum grant you can normally apply for is £5,000 or up to 50% of the project's cost, whichever is the lower, however in some circumstances we could consider a grant of up to £10,000 for exceptional projects. You will need to find other sources of funding for the remaining costs but we can give you advice on where you can apply to or who to contact.
To make an application for a Community Project Grant, please read the guidance notes and Community Project Grant application form under the downloads section of this page.
Sustainable Communities Locality Fund
West Devon Councillors each have £500 a year to spend on projects to support communities in their ward. The minimum grant that can be applied for is £100. Funding can be used to support local events, spaces and training as well as equipment and facilities. If you have more than one councillor in your area you might be able to request funds from each of them to support your project. To find out which councillor(s) represent your area see Find Councillors by Ward.
