Please note: The Government are responding to the crisis and measures and announcements are changing constantly. This page is based on the Guidance for the Grants as at 24 March 2020.
The Government have provided details of the scheme of Grants announced for Small Businesses and those in the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure sectors.
Please read the Government guidance on eligibility to the scheme.
The eligibility of the scheme is based on the rate relief that your business was receiving on 11 March 2020. If you were not liable for Business Rates on that date, or you were not receiving one of the relevant reliefs, you will not be eligible to claim the Grant.

Any Grant award is required to comply with the EU law on State Aid, where you cannot receive 'State Aid' in excess of €800,000, over a three-year period, under the Regulations EC 1407/2013.
State aid is discretionary assistance from a Government body and therefore includes any Retail Discount you already receive from the Council and any Grant under this scheme. Should you be claiming grant for multiple property outside of the Council's area, you will need to complete the declaration below giving details of the other aid you are receiving, and return the form to us.
More information on State Aid can be found at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/state-aid
If the grant award will mean you have received over the State Aid limits, please do not apply for the grant as you will be asked to repay it.
Do not delay in making you online application if the grant will not breach state aid limits, you can notify us of other awards separately.
