Reducing your Business Rates Bill

You may be eligible for Small Business Rate Relief (SBRR) if you meet the following criteria:

• Your business occupies one premises in England with a Rateable Value (RV) of less than £15,000
• If you occupy more than one premises in England, but the total value of all the RVs is less than £20,000 and no more than one property has an RV of more than £2,889

How much relief will I receive?

For properties with a rateable value (RV) of £12,000 or less you will get 100% relief.

For properties with an RV of between £12,001 and £15,000 the relief is granted on a sliding scale. This means it will gradually decrease from 100% to 0% depending on how close to £15,000 the RV is.

How long will the relief last?

The award will continue indefinitely unless there is a change in the law or your circumstances change.

Please contact us if you take occupation of any additional properties. Recent changes to the law mean that you may be able to keep your SBRR for up to 12 months in some circumstances.
