If you are suffering from a mental illness or impairment this can have a significant impact on your housing situation. The Housing Options Team work closely with the Mental Health accommodation officer to help identify the right support to help people with a mental illness to either access the right support to enable them to stay in their homes or work to find the right kind of alternative accommodation.

For some people supported accommodation such as accommodation provided by Westward Housing Association could be a suitable option. For more information about this scheme, please see this website.

If you are homeless or at risk or at risk of homelessness you can contact a member of the Housing Options Team. They will work with you to develop a Personal Housing Plan to help you resolve your housing difficulty and provide you with written advice tailored for your needs.
