The Freedom of Information Act (FOI) gives you certain rights of access to recorded information held by the Council.
About the Freedom of Information Act
- Anyone can make a written request for information held under the terms of the Act
- We must tell you whether the information is held by the Council
- Subject to any exemptions, you are entitled to that information within 20 working days
How do I make a request?
You can request information by completing the Freedom of Information Request form.
How do I submit an Internal Review?
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your FOI request, you have the right to ask for an internal review. Please complete the Internal Review Form.
Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your original correspondence.
Our Publication Scheme
A publication scheme commits us to make information available to the public as part of our normal business activities. To view our publication scheme, please use this link.
FOI requests which we have responded to can be found in our Disclosure Log which will be published on a monthly basis.
Frequently requested FOI information that doesn't fall within the publication scheme can be found in our FOI Library.
